The sunny season is here and you are ready to finally enjoy a fantastic weekend for yourself in nature after a long period of stress from work. LaMunt’s team has thought about making your adventure easier by suggesting what you might bring on this escape from the city. All you'll have to do is follow our list, fill your backpack (but not too much, be careful!) and hit the trail.

DAY 1

Let's start on the day of departure: in the summer heat, it is important to dress in lightweight clothing to feel comfortable in the sun. Another element to consider is breathability, which allows you to arrive at the hut with dry clothes.

LaMunt offers a garment that fits these capabilities: the Alexandra Logo Tee is made with a Merino-Tencel® wool fabric, which dries quickly, inhibits odor, and offers excellent freedom of movement.

The Merino wool we use is Responsible Wool Standard certified, which ensures a good animal welfare standard. Tencel® fabric is a naturally sourced fiber made from the cellulose of wood, mainly eucalyptus, but also beech and pine.

A pair of shorts are the best choice for added comfort while hiking and for better ventilation. We recommend pairing the Alexandra T-shirt with the Teresa Light Shorts, which are ideal for the summer season due to their 100% recycled technical fabric that is particularly breathable and stretchy.

As it starts getting darker, it will be important to bring along a layer that keeps you warm like our Antje Thermal Hoodie. It offers excellent comfort without sacrificing breathability. Thanks to its design you can use it not only for your mountain adventures but also in your everyday life! In case of wind and rain, it is always better to bring a waterproof layer. We recommend our Linda Waterproof Jacket, which, when stored inside your backpack, will occupy very little space.

Clearly, we cannot miss the accessories that help protect us from the sun such as sunglasses, sunscreen (we always recommend using 50+ which provides more protection) and a cap. Among our collections, the most suitable for the summer season is the Martha Light Sun Cap, which is ultra-breathable and light.

It is very important to always keep a first aid kit in your backpack, and in case you want to take your dog with you, it would be best to have one especially for your four-legged friend.

We recommend that you always have a water bottle with you so that you always have some along the way. In this regard, we recommend looking to see if the route you selected has fountains from which to refill it.

If you love to take care of nature, you could get a bag to collect any trash that you might find in your way. Other tools that would be better to have with you are a headlamp, phone charger, energy bars, and magnesium and potassium boost.

NIGHT IN THE HUT

After a tiring and rewarding day spent walking in nature, it is time to prepare for a carefree night at the refuge, perhaps enjoying some time under the stars first: for this, however, it will be necessary not to be caught unprepared and to make sure that we have everything we need with us.

In the hut it is forbidden to enter with dirt hiking shoes, so it is necessary to move inside the structure with slippers. Often facilities have footwear available for guests, but beware: this is not always the case. Therefore, it will be best to contact the facility first to find out whether to bring your own slippers.

Structures provide blankets, so you will only need a simple sleeping bag liner and your pajamas to sleep. We recommend, in case you are not a heavy sleeper, to use earplugs to avoid making the experience unpleasant.

As for toileting in addition to your beauty case you will need to bring a towel and eventual flip-flops with which to shower.

DAY 2

Sunrise has arrived after spending a regenerating night in the hut. You brought along our Maria Logo Active Tank for the occasion, and you did well! Thanks to its natural fabrics it provides an incredible fit and excellent ventilation, especially on the back due to its design.

In case of emergency, you could bring with you also a pair of long pants in your backpack. We suggest the Katharina Light Stretch Pants: stretchy, high performance, breathable and comfortable once worn.

We hope these tips will make these two days for yourself even more relaxing.

Remember that mountain activities are fascinating but you also need to take precautions and always leave safely and with the correct clothing.

What are you waiting for... pack your backpack and set off on this fantastic new adventure!
